Cue the White Rabbit. I'm late! No, I'm not pregnant!

Linda Beltran at Homeschooling 6 inspired the Fun-schooling Moms to a 60 day Teach By Example challenge. You can read about the challenge HERE. The plan was to post every Monday. It's not Monday. Care to pretend? On second thought, let's not.

I loved Linda's idea and caught her vision right after she suggested it. I promptly chose my "Example" book, Homeschooling Creative Girls and got to work. I've had so much fun working on my journal that my children think I'm nuts. I have learned 7 things in this process:
  1. I'm a compulsive learner (there are worse things, right?)
  2. I'm very much an overachiever now, probably because it's my do-over. I was a horrible student "back in the day". This is my turn to really learn and I'm serious about doing my best.
  3. Excitement is contagious. My family is catching my enthusiasm about education. Even my husband has a journal.
  4. Mondays are insane days for me. I might as well accept the White Rabbit role because I'll never line up with the cleverly named #Momschool Monday meme.
  5. There is immense creativity in my home that these journals are unlocking in every person in unique and powerful ways.
  6. I'm learning painlessly about things I actually want to know. How fun is that?
  7. Confession: I need to eat better. My "Draw a Meal Plan" pages are truly pathetic. I forget to eat more than I realized. This is an area where I need to work at setting a MUCH better example.
Take a look at some of my pages . . .
So what do you think, Mom? Ready to set an example?
Are you already a Monday #Momschool blogger setting an example each day? If so, what's the hardest page for you to complete and why?
